INTRODUCING COMPANION
To unfold and merge the fragmentation of the healthcare industry, Companion is a startup company. It builds a strong strategic and a service platform by combining accessibility, care management and innovation to help older adults age-in-place. Creating an exclusive relationship between caregiver and one in-care, Companion is more than a data collector and analyzer. It not only collects data but synthesizes based on user needs by providing automated reminders as and when needed. Companion is crafted intelligently to get smarted overtime by its vast usage simultaneously deepening the insights. Companion’s three crucial services include:
• Health Coaches + Formal caregiving portal
• Financial + Insurance helpers
• A social networking platform
The aim is to provider the user to start in advance and to help manage + tackle aging in adherence to aging in place: peacefully, independently and with dignity and trusting relations.
Companion will be available through a mobile app and on website. It will be complete customizable service that is available with a simple system of subscription on monthly or yearly basis. Using the data analysis and tracking, Companion generates personalized plans through evidence of user lifestyle. Companion focuses on integrating through various services and platforms available in the market by creating partnerships, and a planned system of care management.
ARRIVING TO SOLUTION IN REFLECTION TO POTENTIAL OPPORTUNITIES
The opportunities from the research gave insights to potential problem space, leading to create useful solutions for the user. Aim of creating concepts was to support the problem statement by catering and targeting aging needs. Adapting an innovation system approach to support the aging process and to make aging-in-place more comfortable, dignified and trustworthy was the strategic intent. Along side the refining process few eye catching and alarming opportunities were:
1) Integration of technology in terms of healthcare services accessibility
2) There is a need to restructure the business model and planning of the healthcare services
3) Lack of social interactions for older adults to have a positive and engaging life
4) To make them more self dependent
5) Potential services to handle their financial needs and a financial support team
